Hello! I am Assistant Professor in the Management Area of the Costello College of Business at George Mason University. My research deals with the intersection of entrepreneurship, organizations, and public policy, with an emphasis on grand societal challenges.
My research is published or forthcoming in Administrative Science Quarterly, Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Business Venturing, Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, Research Policy, and more. My work has garnered awards including the Lazaridis Award for best paper of the year in the Journal of Business Venturing, the Edward Pettinella Assistant Professorship in Business and the Dean’s Research Citation from the Whitman School of Management, the Babson College Entrepreneurship Research Conference Best Paper in Public Policy, and the B Academic Roundtable People’s Choice Award, among others. I have also testified before Congress for my research on homelessness.
